Christopher York is an attorney in private practice in Brewster. He was the Chief Assistant District Attorney in Putnam County for thirteen years where he worked with the CAC and came to recognize the importance of this organization. Prior to working in Putnam County he was a prosecutor in the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office where he spent most of his tenure in the Superior Court Trial Division working on serious felony cases including homicide investigations and trials.
He is a graduate of Fordham College and Fordham Law School and has been a member of the New York State Bar since 1984. He has received multiple legal honors including the National Association of Distinguished Counsel, Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition, Fraternal Order of Police Distinguished Service Award, Putnam County Magistrates Association Service Award and has been recognized as one of the top criminal defense attorneys in New York State.
